We visited one other park inland from Port Douglas and over the great dividing ranch. What a contrast- much drier and flatter. One of the great things about our trip to Port Douglas was the location of the house we had rented- right on the beach which allowed for morning walks and plenty of building sandcastles….
Walk up Towrong- Dec 6th

We went for a morning stroll up Mt Towrong and got a great view of the landscaping. Also saw a beautiful Fringe lilly (Thysanotus tuberosus) which according to these guys only opens for a single day.
