Autumn is almost finished- already we are having cool mornings (less than 6°C). In honour of the season I have changed the header banner on the blog. Attached are some pictures from the garden and a few taken on a visit to a friends, where young P really enjoyed running in the nearby park.

We had a full weekend, starting with a trip to Daylesford to visit our neighbour’s new business venture. He makes herbal liqueurs which are delicious as well as having potential health benefits…… We went up to the Wombat Hill botanical gardens afterwards- the first of the pictures. To contribute to a supply of fresh eggs we recently purchased 3 hens to come and live with us. The three Buff Orpingtons arrived on Friday and seem to have settled in well- including some time “free range”. Their names are “sunny”, “food-giver” and “minnie”. Philippa chose the names. Some pictures below…

The wombat wonders about in the twilight again

This time I was home to see the wombat in action- about half an hour ago. He/ she is a pretty big wombat (compared to the ones seen in the zoo) and did not seem to see us although he may have heard/ smelt us when he got close. It was twilight- so pictures not [...]
